Introducing RocketRez's streamlined reporting UI update – the fuel that will propel your business to new heights of efficiency. In today's ever-evolving technological landscape, data is the lifeblood of any successful business.
With this in mind, we've improved the way you can access reporting analytics and gain valuable insights from your reports quickly and easily.
In the new user interface update which will be rolling out at the end of February, you will find the 4 sub-menus (Financial Reports, Custom Reports, Saved Reports, and Advanced Reports) have been reorganized into 2 sub-menus in the new design.
Custom Reports and Saved Reports can now be found under Report Templates, while Financial Reports and Advanced Reports can be found under Standard Reports.
We understand that time is of the essence when it comes to business decisions and analyzing customer trends, and that's why we've worked on streamlining the number of click-throughs to get the data you need.
Less clicks, more insights: Report Templates
When you click on Report Templates, you will be brought to the General Templates screen, and these are the same items that used to be under our Custom Reports.
Custom Reports can be customized to your business needs, and you'll have the ability to add or remove columns that you want to see in your report. Once you've customized them to your liking, you can save these as templates and they will appear in the Saved Templates screen.
Overall, these should reduce the number of clicks so you can access the insights you need and make better and faster decisions based on the data you have.
Making it easier to find what you need: Standard Reports
In Standard Reports, we've combined Financial Reports and Advanced Reports into one page, with a menu for the different categories you can find your reports in.
In our previous UI, reports were displayed in a continuous list which can involve a fair bit of scrolling when you're looking for a specific report. We've now made it easier to find what you're looking for by grouping reports in their own tabs.
For example, if you were looking for Coupon Tracking Report in Marketing, you would have to scroll through the Advanced Reports page to get to it.
In the new UI, you can find the Coupon Tracking Report in the Marketing tab under Standard Reports, as seen in the screenshot below:
This means that the new UI update will make it much easier for you to find your reports when you need them.
In particular, your Accounting reports are now located at the same spot, no matter if you are a cash or accrual based customer.
If you are a cash-based customer, your cash-based accounting reports, which used to be under Financial Reports, can now be found under the Accounting Tab in Standard Reports.
If you're an accrual-based customer, the accrual accounting reports, which used to be under the Advanced Reports, can also be found under the Accounting Tab in Standard Reports.
Overall, this should reduce your time spent on navigating reports, and make it easier for you and your team to access insights quickly and make better decisions.
Easily identify pre-made vs custom-built reports
Another new upgrade to the user interface we've introduced is the ability to easily identify pre-made versus custom-built reports.
If you've had a report that was customized and built specifically for your needs, you will now be able to spot them. This can be helpful for quickly identifying which reports are available to you as a standard feature, and which reports were custom-made.
Pin your favorite reports for easy access
We've also added a new feature that lets users pin their favorite reports for easy access. This has been a top request and we are very excited to implement this in our UI update.
Each user can now keep their most important reports at the top of their screen and access them quickly and easily, without having to scroll or search for them.
Everything else remains the same in your reports, including the data you are used to working with. These are just some of the many quality-of-life improvements to the platform that we will continue to bring you throughout the years to come.
