RocketRez, a leading provider of modern software solutions for the tourism and attractions industry, is proud to announce its partnership with Chimney Rock Park, a stunning natural attraction in North Carolina known for its iconic 315-foot rock monolith and sweeping views of Hickory Nut Gorge and Lake Lure.

Chimney Rock management will use RocketRez to modernize its ticketing operations, beginning with simple, high-impact timed ticketing designed to manage visitor flow and improve the guest experience.

A Partnership Rooted in Support and Resilience

Chimney Rock's path to RocketRez came at one of the hardest moments in its history. When Hurricane Helene tore through the region in the fall of 2024, the team was unsure of what operations would look like in the future. Roads into Chimney Rock and throughout the Asheville area were severely damaged or washed away completely leaving communities cut off and critical access to the park destroyed. Having already built a close relationship with the team at Chimney Rock, RocketRez offered a year of service at no cost, after the storm. By doing this, RocketRez was able to support the Chimney Rock Management team as they prepared for a reopening, providing the tools they needed to gradually welcome visitors back.

`

“This was about more than software,” said Sean Harvey, Chief Revenue Officer at RocketRez. “Chimney Rock is a special place for so many people, and we knew the last thing they needed during their recovery was a technology hurdle. We saw an opportunity to lend a hand, and we’re proud to be part of their comeback story.”
The team at Chimney Rock echoed that sentiment. “After the storm, we were dealing with so much operational uncertainty,” said Joey Allen Director of Operations. “RocketRez didn’t just show up with a product. They showed up with empathy, flexibility, and the kind of support you don’t forget.”

Solving Today’s Needs, Built for the Future

Currently offering any-day tickets that can be used anytime throughout the year, Chimney Rock is shifting to capacity-based timed ticketing for online sales to control traffic and reduce impacts on ongoing rebuilding efforts in the area.

At the on-site drive-up ticket booth, staff will continue to sell all-day general admission tickets using RocketRez, providing a consistent experience across all sales channels.

While the immediate priority is ticketing, Chimney Rock Management selected RocketRez for its long-term flexibility. Future phases of implementation will include:

  • Memberships
  • Retail and Food & Beverage
  • Gift Cards
  • Integrated reporting and accounting
“We needed a simple solution to manage timed entry and reduce strain on our infrastructure, but we also wanted to set ourselves up with a platform that could grow with us,” said Emily Walker Director for Chimney Rock Management “RocketRez gives us both: the simplicity we need now, and the flexibility to expand in the future.”
